For some reason I have never managed to get a good image of teasles. They used to be used as combs in the old days and for carding fine wool.

Teasel...formally used for carding wool...Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire
Morning Peter, nature used to provide many a tool. I think that's where the teasel got its name... "teased" and disentangled fibres. Best regards, Rosa.
