Hellow Jean. Thanks for your comment! You really have great photos. Great ones those taken to the elks. They seem to belong to a scientific study.
Did you use digiscoping technicals to capture the hawk? nice bird! Bye, greetings from Spain.
Hello Juanma Moreno in Spain! Thanks for your comments too! The elk you referred to have disappeared from this part of the country many, mnay years ago. A few years ago, a group of 21 elk were brought to North Carolina's Cataloochee Valley where they are protected. They are doing very well, the numbers have grown to about 100 the last time I checked. Eventually, they will remove the collars they use for tracking and the elk will be on their own. They brought the elk from the western part of the USA.
And no, I don't think I used digiscoping technicals to capture the hawk since I don't what that is. We have 2 digital cameras which we haven't had very long. I am not much of a photographer and usually (well, always) just use the automatic settings. Most of my photos are just luck! But what fun they are to take!
I am wondering how I could get a shot like your "Buitres en Alinyà. Prepirineo. Cataluña". The flock of birds in flight like that, I am not sure how I can get my camera to focus like yours. You have so many very nice photos! So long, Jean in USA
Jean, he is not unlike our Kookaburra at first glimpse. Dianne
Your kookaburra is fascinating. This hawk is a killer of small animals, I always look at them with a bit of fear! Diane, thanks!
Thanks, Paul. You are very knowledgable. I was not sure that it was red-tale. Now I will add that bit to the title!
Your osprey photo is AMAZING!
YS é stupendo, come ho fatto a non vederlo prima?
Grazie, Giors. Ho un bel po 'le foto in modo che ora è probabilmente il motivo per cui non avete visto prima d'ora. È certamente non andare in giro ad ogni pagina, quasi tutte le foto! Grazie per tutti i vostri scatti!
