Crawfish shedding old outer crust, huge new claws

Sue, some of the reflected white color on the stream bed floor are bits of mica. The dirt in the driveway where the gravel has gone, is soft sandy soil. The cats love to roll in it, the dirt bath. When they get up, they look like they are covered in glitter! One day, I almost got a photo of the orange cat Frank as he arose and shook off the sand, and then he walked away in a cloud of glitter like in a Disney movie. I had the camera on a setting that did not like motion so I missed it but I have that shot in my mind. At least I got to see it. Maybe one day.

I really must hush now...

HOW DID I MISS THIS! I saw the note you left me, ages ago, on the first photo you ever did, (I was just showing my husband the similarities between your area and here, and then I saw this link, which somehow passed me by before. HOW THOUGH? I must have been half asleep....

Fantastic photo, Jean, and I love your little story about the Disney star, Frank the cat. I'd be throwing some more of the stuff over him, with camera in hand waiting....he'd have to shake it off, being a cat, he couldn't bare to leave it on there...(yep, I'm that mean, for a photo!:D)

No,no, no! No, I was talking about the cat, Frank. Sorry, I was thinking of how you said you'd throw a cloth over the cat and take more photos of him as he was so photogenic. No, the crawfish never did get a name!

OH, so sorry, I forgot this was the photo where you said about your cat, tee hee hee, silly me, anyway, it would be foolish to call a crawfish the same name as your cat.......you could be festive at Chistmas time and call him 'Santa'.......Santa claws??? Well go on, laugh then, I'm laughing, ....a very little.....at my own joke.....a definite no no!! Slap wrist for me!
