Bruno1001, thanks for the compliment! But truly, my little Lucky has been nothing but GOOD since she came to live with me! She makes me feel lucky. Jean

Hi, Jean ! Is he like ... my shot?? Cy

jgevans, on June 27, said:

Yes, it is like your shot, Cinthia! This is my beloved Lucky. She is a very good girl too, sweetest nature although she does get a bit rough when she plays. I rescued her from the middle of a busy highway intersection. Although I am not sure how she could ever have gotten there unless some person put her there, I felt lucky to have saved her from the next vehicle passing by. She came within less than 2 feet of a car tire as it turned left. She froze and I was able to catch her. She was so small, but old enough to eat solid food. Her paw pads peeled off later and the veterinarian said that she had burned her feet on the hot pavement. She was lucky that day and everybody said "She is lucky" so that is how she got her name.... which is usually a boy name. You would like her too, I'm sure. Jean

Nice eyes and beautiful black cat. I had one, the same. But it was a boy. Its name was Bart.

Bernard, I had a cat who lived to be 18 and died a few months ago. His name was Bert. I bottle fed him and his 2 brothers, named Chip and Ernie when their mother disappeared just after they were born. They were my darlings! They were 2 orange stripe and a gray stripe. Now I have Lucky, Pepper who is camera shy and a scaredy cat, and Xena, THE princess. Xena has asthma and is diabetic but still doing well. Lucky is a great cat to have around, always in such a good mood. Pepper was a feral kitten that I rescued and he still hides like a wild cat, but slowly is becoming more social. I still don't have a good photo of him - the lighting is always low when he come around! Tell me about your Bart! Jean

Hi Jean! Unfortunately, Bart, we did not keep it for a long time. We had it the day before Christmas, just after the death of my mother’s cat, from whom we had inherited and who was called Caramel. But Bart was a big climber and went to the top of fir trees when we brought it on holidays. We kept it two and a half years in our apartment for the 4éme floor. It liked jumping the wall which separates us from the neighbour. At the end of the first football match of the world cup (In Japan and in Korea), we were discouraged because France had lost. Ten minutes later, we looked for Bart because he was not in our apartment. Unfortunately, this time that, it had missed by jumping the wall which separates us from the neighbour. We found it below, under my car … The next day, we had a dog which is called Tina…

Cheers, Bernard

Bernard, hugs again to Tina! Wish you to see my Pepper, got a picture posted in my gallery. Not the best picture of a cat but he is so hard to photograph. He won't be still, always twisting and turning even when he sits! Greetings, Jean

Hi Jean! Tina also is hard to photograph. It loathes flashes and every time I take out my camera it leaves hiding. But there, I bought a new camera, black instead of silver and without flash, except when I press on the button. But it’s not necessary. (Because it’s a camera Panasonic DMC-FZ18). Thus that goes better. Tina is going to go on holiday meadows of the “Mont Blanc”. I would shoot it in photo and I would put it on Panoramio. If you look well in my gallery there is the second photo of it. It has almost been the last one. After the photo, we returned into the residence, we took the elevator … Oh! No! Tina forgot to go into the elevator. The door closed … Fortunately it’s the leash which broke … My wife did not too much rot to me … (Don’t forget, Tina is going to go on holiday, my wife and I too).

Amitiés, Bernard

Hello, Bernard. What a cute story with happy ending about Tina! I was just at veterinarian’s office with my Xena who had to have an injection for her asthma. While there I saw a little dog that looked very much like your Tina except a bit larger, I think. So very cute. The look-alike had a good check-up and was there with a bigger dog of the same fur color but the longest legs on a dog that I have ever seen. Hope you all have a fantastic holiday. I know the new camera has a healthy and big appetite and hope you fill it up. Very impressive camera - I look on-line to peak at it. NICE! Hugs to little Tina. Friend in USA, Jean

My cat is exactly like this one! =O His name's Omi.

I have another cat, Misza, and I wanted to post some photos of them, but they don't like photos very much...

I enjoyed very much reading Lucky's story, and I think you are a great person because you found her and took care of her and now she is a sane and happy cat.

My sister found Misza in the street too, and she brought her home.

The first days, she and Omi fought, but now they are best friends.

In conclusion, great photo!! =)

And thanks for adding me to your favourite list!!! ; ) I add you too!

(I think it's the longest comment I've ever posted in Panoramio...!)

Greetings from Catalonia, Paula

Paula, Thank you for your lovely comments and star. I look forward to seeing photos of your Misza and Omi... who looks like my Lucky. (Black cats are difficult to photograph, aren't they?) We have Lucky, Pepper and Xena. Pepper found us and was totally wild and is happy but not sane. He and Lucky are best buds. Xena was in the road and would not let my husband go by, when he got out of the car, she got in. She was a tiny sick kitten. He brought her home, I broke my ankle and had surgery and he had to take care of both of us while I was in recovery so she bonded with him and is a basically a one person cat. She tolerates me and adores him. It is so silly to see her swoon over him, she stares at him when he enters the room. Lucky loves everybody all the time. Pepper is a big scaredy cat and likes to be petted as long as everything is calm. I love cats and other animals. Also loved looking at your Mexico photos, what a place! So VERY interesting. And the dolphin photos! Wow, what an experience. Love your gallery. Later, Jean in NC
