I really enjoyed my visit to this Reptile Centre; no admission charges, just £2 for parking all day. There is a picnic area and toilet facilities. Inside the hut is a monitor screen showing live webcam coverage of a nearby goshawks' nest. Vipers, smooth snakes, grass snakes and slow worms can be seen outside. One needs a little patience as they have plenty of cover in a very realistic copy of their natural environment. Also on view are lizards, toads, frogs and newts. I also intended to visit Knoll Gardens and a country park that day, but was completely hooked and stayed all day.
