Hi Ana-Latu,

Rose and John Bosco and Jobson returned from Canberra, having met with Australian Foreign Affairs but they observed that FA staff had no answers except military ones, but at least they were encouraged to find their own answers, and they will choose non-violent ones. As for AUSAid the overall impression was that there needs to be a further change of policy there too, and that aid must flow to local levels more and through the collaboration with the churches. I am confident that this message will be heard for there are many others saying the same thing. If you want to benefit Melanesians then the churches must be effectively engaged.

The three are leaving for home shortly.

Thamnk you for your wonderful contributions and partnership through the peacebuilders course.

Ian
