From the thumbnail I thought it was fog but now I know it's salt. It must have been a very stormy day! Great shot, Pam! Greetings, Anne

The prairie winds were blowing pretty briskly (gale force? ;) that day Anne. The migratory salt lakes are pretty dry right now but hopefully a couple of good rains will help.
Cheers, Pam

Can you taste the salt when you breath, Pam? I just can't imagine this...

Thankfully we don't live near there Ryan but I'm betting those that live in Morse could taste it.
Table salt is mined near the towns of Belle Plain and Unity but the sodium they take from lakes, like the one near to Morse, is used in laundry detergent.

I've not seen anything like this, nor am I likely to, so many thanks for sharing the experience. Purdey

Yeah, but... as well as the sand I also see some... building-like organisms in the distance.
It's probably an oasis.
Or a building-shaped smudge on my monitor.
Lemme get a tissue...
