How can a prison that was used to torture innocent Indians be called a GOOD OLD ENGLISH PRISON??? A place used to spresd terror can never be remembered as a Good place.... It just makes you cry,,,, trust me,,, I felt that... maybe because I am from India.

Evgenia & Mikhail,
Hi. It seems you liked India. I now live in New Delhi and love to travel to remote places of this country and camp where ever possible. Its beautiful. May I suggest you to explore the mountains and the tribal areas too, which offer a unique experience, unmatched anywhere else in the world...
Regards Aj

Wonderful reminder of British Imperialism. When the Germans did it, it was termed "War Crime"

"Good Old" English prison. A prison may be old but can never be GOOD. I had the opportunity of shooting for several days in cellular jail premises for a Tele-film for Doordarshan India a decade ago. It is masterpiece of architecture from prison point of view where only one guard could monitor entire jail from a particular point. But being not only Indian but believer in non-violence the stories of torture given to freedom fighters give a shiver.

Agreed - nothing really good in this place. But in my country much more primitive constructions were in use. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/16997619
