Photo is of the dredge Porta Allegra which is believed to be the identity of the wreck known locally as the Lobster Wreck. The Porta Allegra was built in 1908. The exact cause and date of sinking is not known. However, it is likely it sank during inclement weather sometime during the teens. The wreck holds a large population of spiny lobsters as well as lionfish. Max depth is 125 feet.
