Greetings Pam, That must have been fun watching the airplane pick up water. Here they use helicopters with buckets.
Cheers,
Rich

Richard I wonder why we do it differently? Maybe the pilots here have more room for their flight path (no mountains in the way)?.
I know Canada has some monster sized water bombers used for fighting fires in the Boreal forest but I've yet to see one of them.

And it certainly requires great skill and courage to put the plane down at water level, and scoop in the water with out coming to a sudden stop! Incredible really that anyone tried this even the first time. Beats the Wright Brothers in my opinion.
"Ice roads and water bombers" has been a marvellous education, Pam. Thanks.

Hello Pam, I take advantage of this photo of a topic that I like, the planes, to say to you, that we think to go to Canada of holidays in May. Some advice?. A greeting. Rafa
