I agree with bruce that this is beautiful Tom. Love the inclusion of the couple into the comp. Really gives the shot balance and scale. :) Looks like it was a rough day on the water.

It was blowin' 40 boy's! The boat without the head sail got blown to leeward and had to tack away from the beach. That couple seems so nonchalant.
Thank you for your appreciation

So far it's unasnimous, Tom. A great series of photos, but this has the qualities of a moment in sports. Great work.

Thanks Hank. Two of the boats in this picture later broke there masts, the one completely lost it. It was a storm to remember just one week ago.

Great shot, Tom. It's like a 21st century rendition of a sea-scape painting. The light is really perfect.

Very surreal and stunning photo. Excellent contrast and composition! Truly does appear as a sea-scape painting, well done!

holy moses! what a great photo! GG point is one of my fave seattle spots, but i have never been there when the water is so stormy, i have seen boats come unbelievable close to running aground on the point before, but these sailors look like they got their work cut out. and that couple is halarious, like they are just enjoying a sunny summer day on the beach! what an entertaining and interesting shot both stylistically and contenwise. a great portrayal of real seattle lifestyle. good job!

It was defiantly hooting Nick. It was hard to believe we were getting this kind of weather in June. GG is all about lifestyle as you so appropriately point out.
Thanks for the visit an kind comment

When I saw them rounding the mark Jim,I wasn't sure the lead boat was going to make it because they were having trouble with their sails!.Thanks for your comments
