Thank you Anne! I think many parts of Missouri are very similar to Germany, which is why there were so many German immigrant communities that grew into cities that are still around today. This park land is over 1500 acres, and there's still lots of undeveloped forest outside the park boundaries. Even with all the development they are doing nowdays all over the place, the largest portion of the state is still either farmland or forest. :)
