Thanks Hamza! It was a nice little snake.

Wow! What a fantastic capture, Ryan, even better in full size! Is it a poisonous snake? She looks quite friendly lifting her head to see what you are doing and isn't scared at all. Very beautiful! Greetings, Anne

I don't think he likes you, Ryan, but I like him! Excellent shot. Marilyn

Well, I can't say I like him, but I love the photo! You've captured the feeling—the one you get when you spot a snake—very well.

Thank you Anne and Marilyn! It's a perfectly harmless tiny snake, only about eight inches long full grown, and this one was smaller than that. At first glance I thought it was a big earthworm (it was straight at the time, not in an S). It kept flicking its tongue to smell me, but it took me a couple dozen tries to actually catch the tongue out like this. Greetings, Ryan

...and thanks Andres also! The snake was probably a little scared of me, being so small and everything, but was perfectly nice. If I wasn't inside a state park, I probably would have a new pet now. :)

Thanks Scally. Maybe not frighted, but at least cautious. Very curious about what is the big piece of glass shoved in its face. :)

I like lizards better, but this little fellow does look a bit puzzled. Great shot! Don't know if I would be that calm if I saw him, but hey!

Hi Kim, and thanks! Well, as I said above, I thought at first he was a small stick or an earthworm. He was very, very small.

Thanks also Kojak and Emerson!
