San Juan River is a tributary of the Colorado River. In the "Utah section" the river meanders quite dramatically. A visit to the "Goosenecks State Park" is worthwhile.

What a great view! Fantastic place. Did you shoot it from plane or helicopter?

@ eugenewynne: I am not from Ireland - but I have been to Ireland four times. Has been quite a while, though. Dublin... visited Greystones, Bray and Dublin in 1997.

spectacular view! In Spain, there is something similar: "Las hoces del Duratón" in Sepúlveda.
