Igloo: Great pix of the wonderful Arra Fishing Lodge. We had 3 great nights there last January and I still often think of the friendly people there. It was a little piece of paradise.

Did you enjoy your stay?

However, it is hard to see the actual location on the satellite image. I located my pix over on the main channel of the Albert Nile instead of on the lagoon where you have yours. There seem to be some features where you have your pix, but I don't see the driveway leading in from the main road. I thought the grounds were on the main river.

What do you think?

Max: Thanks for your comment! I actually only spent a couple of hours here, but thought it really nice. Lucky you got to spend 3 days there!

Re location, all my photos were 'geotagged' using sync between the digital cam and a GPS unit, I couldn't really comment on the location with any authority, as many of the places are pretty 'featureless', with little to distinguish them. It's quite possible then that it is slightly misplaced, though I think it is broadly accurate!

Igloo: Thanks for your location information. I guess your geotagged photos are more accurate and I'll move mine over there to the lagoon. I had thought the lodge was on the main channel of the river, but I guess it isn't. G-E is gradually improving the satellite imagery around the world and I look forward to something with higher resolution in the future.

Igloo: I just looked at the area again this evening and found a MUCH better satellite image in G-E. You can see everything at the Arra Fishing Lodge, including the pool. I knew there'd be a better image some day. I still have fond memories of the place. Trying to figure out how to get back there. Max
