Is this an EU-building?

Ainars Brūvelis on June 15, 2008

What do you mean by EU-building? This building is in EU city, Brussels, near European commission building. Who is owner- I don't know

Thank's for answering. The picture is impressive. And I thought you may know the name of the building...

Ainars Brūvelis on June 15, 2008

Thank you for comment! My hotel was across the street, and building seems really impressive. Due some hours of free time, I got only some pictures and not very much about this building.

Now in internet I found, that it was former European Commission building (new one- is next on the same street), but it comes too small.

Building official name is Bâtiment Charlemagne, by designer Jacques Cuisinier initially built in 1967. It has been recently (some years ago) renovated by Helmut Jahn, replacing the largely concrete exterior with a glass one
