I believe this is the northeastern cap of the island. When we rounded it in the zodiacs, currents from both the east and the west met and where two waves added, the sea would turn into a mountain. and where they subtracted, it would turn into a great hole. Needless to say, rounding the cape was a wide ride.

In the 1950's we went to the drive-in and saw Mutiny on the Bounty, my father who was with the US Post Office wrote the Postmaster on Pitcairn and they exchanged letters for many years. I still the the hand painted Orchid Leaves that he sent my father from the island and stamps! My dad made sure he got a microscope so he could look at the small things on the island!
