Both interesting and beautiful.

Hi Marilyn, thank you very much! I am on Fisgard Street here, looking through this wonderful wasteland to Pandora Street on the other side.
This site is the victim of a "Guerilla Gardening" attack. People sneak in and spread seeds of colourful flowers like these poppies, on abandoned sites. The seeds are carefully selected for flowers that can compete with usual weedy members of the dandelion and thistle tribes. Results are often spectacular. This fencing has tape woven through it so the garden is almost completely invisible. (It wasn't me that removed the tape for this photo op. Really.)

The guerrilla poppies were not worthy of GE ... :'( I thought it was so interesting that someone had gone to all the trouble of planting the poppies in that waste space -- and then someone else had gone to a lot more trouble to hide the field of poppies with a nasty fence. Or perhaps the fence was there first ... oh well!

Well I think they're interesting anyway!

Nawitka, Please, please re-upload the guerilla poppies for it may be accepted by GE's reviewer next time. It is worthy and it is important to have it on GE but if it is rejected again you can always remove the 2nd copy, if you desire.
Will you try. please?
Ian

Thanks Marilyn, that's very kind of you. It means a lot to me! Ian, thanks for the advice. I can't do much uploading at present, but I'll give it try later. Maybe I have a slightly different cropping that would work better. I was quite ready to tear a hole in the fence, but the rest of my group was in a hurry to be elsewhere (as usual). It's too bad I couldn't get the wire and the poppies both in focus. Oh well.
