This is beautiful! Is it natural light, or a filter?

Hi Rin, There is no filter used, but it is not entirely natural either. It was taken in the very early morning and a long exposure (about 15 seconds I think) was needed. Such long exposures change the way film reacts to light, something called reciprocity failure. This often tends to shift colours towards pinks and purples. Thanks for your comment! Mike

Hi Rodgfran, Correct. It is the bank of Lake Kariba opposite Kariba Village. With powerful binos/scope you can see it from Kariba Heights. Name of the game reserve escapes me for the moment. Resulted from flooding the valley when Kariba Dam Wall was built. Operation Noah, led by Rupert Fothergill, rescued thousands of the wildlife which would have drowned. Kariba Dam was opened by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, in 1963(? I think).
