Hints ford footbridge in summertime. Standing quietly on the bridge it's often possible to observe kingfishers and other wildlife; once I watched as a mink took a small mallard on the far bank. This would appear to be somewhat remote from a semi-industrial past when it's said that there was a forge here and the channels were sluices for some kind of watermill.
