Taken 2006 whilst near Oban, Scotland. I believe this castle was used in the Monty Python Film 'Mont Python and the Holy Grail c1994) Enjoy. Herb

The name 'Stalker' comes from the Gaelic Stalcaire, meaning 'hunter' or 'falconer', and should therefore be pronounced 'stal-ker', with the 'l' sounded, not as in the pronunciation of the English word 'stalker'.

The castle did appear in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail in 1975. It also appeared in the film Highlander: Endgame in 2000.

Thanks for the extra information Tony. I remember seeing the Highlander film but had not realised this was the same castle. I did, however, remember the castle from the Monty Python film. This photo nevertheless reminds me of a great holiday near Oban a couple of years ago. Herb

Castle Stalker is seen briefly in the Highlander IV film during Connor's flashback scene.

I wonder if you could dramatise this picture in order to make the hills and clouds somewat more distinct.May I try it?

You certainly can try Feitse. The weather was not too good on this trip and I fear this was the most I coax out of this bit of memory card?

Tony, thanks for the extra info, which I appreciated as soon as you put it here.

Cheers, Herb
