Por promessa, esta capela foi mandada construir por João Júlio de Macedo, em 1925. Por cima do arco da sineta encontra-se uma figura que representa a Lua em fase de quarto crescente. Por baixo do lugar da sineta encontra-se o Escudo de Portugal.
