What a very beautiful place! :) Do you know it's history or how old it is? I love old homes! It has a wonderful chimney!
Beautiful!
Best regards,
Mary Alice

Well, its interesting you should ask that Mary Alice, as this is the oldest surviving building in New Zealand. I took a side view of it just to be different, as the front view is the more well known view. The Mission House at Kerikeri was completed in 1822 as part of the Kerikeri Mission Station by the Church Missionary Society. It is a weatherboard clad, two-storey Georgian design with a verandah and two chimneys. It was built primarily from Kauri. I have added two others photos of the area - one is another house just behind this one - I am not sure of its history. By the looks of it, the house is privately occupied by the caretaker of the historic complex. My photos of the Mission House can be found here.
