Hi crament, nice to read your comment. Sorry to say, but I'm too young for ww2. I was only told some little stories from some of the nationals. I'm not sure whether or not anybody would remember the name of your father. Best wishes for the new year 2010.

big delay i know, one question who are you bolokes? . one thing about my dad was he got bittern by non poisonous spider while on manus and it went septic , was then sent to port morsby. the surgeons actually saved his arm, perhaps that will jog someones memory ,best wishs dave cockerill

Hi Dave, my real name is Paul and i live in Germany. From 1986 to 1994 I lived with my family in Manus PNG as a Missionary from Liebenzell Mission, working inside ECOM (Evangelical Church of Manus). That is, why I have no memories of WW2. Maybe someone else has, however, time is running and people in Manus living during WW2 might have passed away already. All the best to you, Greetings from Paul
