Was searching the net this morning on "loniu" and came across your shot of "Sharon" the mission station at Loniu village.

I am from Loniu and my father (Jonah Polume)worked with the earlier missionaries (Johaness De Roo and Maria Molner and etc. Remember Lilke and his family as they were at Sharon when I started primary school, Ruth Volgenmen, John Thomson etc.

Hello Hitelai, nice to meet you here. :-)) Recently, I met Bringfried Lilke, he is retired but still busy working for our LORD Jesus Christ. I also met Ruth Vogelmann last year, when she was visiting Germany. I was on Manus from 1986 to 1994 and many times I was in Loniu and Saron. Hi, I am from Loniu, the pictures brought back memories of the primary school days at Saron and Lugos(Maria Molnar Memorial School). My Teachers were Sister Strunk, Ruth Vogelman, John Thompson, Herman Dietch, Miss Gilmore. Without them I won't have all these opportunities. There were pictures taken by Teachers and Missionaries who were at Manus, it would be great to have these photos on this site. God bless you and all. Kisen Polu
