Great shot, Ryan! Were you standing in a cave when you took this? The color of the rock is almost the same as our rocks here. Very interesting! Cheers, Anne

I love the detail of the weathered limestone next to the sun sparkle on the trees.

Thank you Anne! These rocks are all sandstone, and the double arch is all that's left to hold up an enormous block of stone that continues up the hillside.

Thanks also Mary, this area has wonderful mixtures of sun and shadows side by side, with so many rock formations and trees together.

Cheers, Ryan

Yes, I know, Ryan. I have been to the Current River four times even though I live in Miami. I first found your photos while looking for Current River photos in Missouri. To me, it's a wonderful Mark Twain childhood (belated) to explore undeveloped caves along the river.

Missouri Life Article

I'm not crazy about the color balance they used, but I'm in a magazine now. :)

Great article, Ryan although I agree with you about the color balance. Congratulations, and may others follow!

Missouri is an undiscovered treasure to us "coasters". My friend who introduced me to Missouri said, "It has an unkempt beauty." I would love to explore more in person, although your gallery has given a wonderful view.

Greetings from Miami,
