STCB releasing female Loggerhead turtle after attaching Satellite Transmitter
As part of its research program, staff and volunteers of Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire captured and affixed a satellite transmitter to the carapace of a breeding female Loggerhead turtle. The turtle, named 'Wiske' will be tracked from Bonaire back to her home foraging area in order to learn more about the migration paths of these endangered animmals. This tracking effort is sponsored by the Rotterdam Zoo.
