There is no error. I'm just back from where this photo was taken by Michael Thomas back in 2010. This is Gran Bahia Principe La Romana, and I can confirm the position on the map is marked accurate +/–15m. You can't see that little bridge on Google's satellite images though, because they are 7 years old.
