love this one palmina, is it a back garden shot?i have some like this taken last summer in my garden as a storm was brewing. it is june 21st here ,the longest day, mid summers day, the weather is foul its like november, the wind is howling, trees are blowing down and i have got my central heating on!i bet you miss england dont you! is the weather crazy in aus?or do you have long hot summers, my wife craves to emmigrate, she lived in aus. back in the early seventies, her parents went out there as ' £10 poms'. she is very affected by the british weather it really does make her SAD.The weather patterns seem to be changing beyond recognition in the northern hemisphere!

Beautiful & brooding at the same time Pali. I forgot you were heading for winter. I hope it isn’t too bad. :)

arif, Tamas, Craig & Marilyn thanks guy's for the visit. Good to be back in circulation again.

Steandeb Talking to my Dad over the weekend, he reckons it's gone back into Winter over there. It's pretty damn cold here too. The wood fire has been on for 24/7 for ages. I miss England's weather only in that when its Winter at least it's winter and you know it's going to be cold and in Summer it's usually warmish. Here you might get one day at 40oC then the next at 18oC. The saying of Melbourne 4 seasons in one day is so true. You are right, the weather all over the world has gone stupid. While we in Victoria are so short of water, other parts of the country are in flood. We came here as 10pound Poms too (although with inflation it was 150 pound when we came)don't regret coming here although I think I would've been better in our first choice of Canada as far as the weather goes.

Billy & Mary Alice there is some anticipation with a storm brewing isn't there? It's nice to know that you can be inside warm and cozy when it finally hits. I love the skies before the storm with that threatening greyness about it.

Very effective mood setter, Palmina. This shot says "Stay inside." It's always funny to remember you're suffering winter while we're getting sunburned up here. Good luck with the weather and the ankle.

Thanks Hank It was nice to sit by the fire this day and just watch the storm.

The ankle is coming along o.k. The Dr. tells me I'm off work for another 3 weeks. I'm going bonkers with nothing to do, just watch T.V. as I'm not supposed to move about. Still it's giving me plenty of time to catch up on some reading. I've read all of Howard Fasts "Immigrant" series again So it's all not bad.
