Merry Christmas Greetings! Johan.
Excellent image. Very nice photo. My best wishes. . . for a Happy 2009! from Korinthos Hellas (Greece) . **Let's save our planet. **
Palmina, I think, the two calves are by now nearly grown up! :) Lovely photo! I hope to see soon new photos of yours! Warm regards, May
May I'm sorry to say but I expect that these calves along with the whole herd would have perished in the last few days with the devestatings fires that are sweeping through our beautiful state of Victoria. Where this photo was taken, Narbethong, the township is all but gone. The nearby town of Marysville has been wiped out. So many lives have been lost 181 at this stages and a million native animals gone.
It is a sad sad situation.
Yes, Palmina, I feel so sorry about this catastrophy. We hear about it in the news every day. It's dreadful, not only, that so much has been destroyed, but all the people who died, the livestock and wild animals gone. The despair and sadness of the affected persons, who lost everything.
Dear Palmina, I hope you are okay! My best wishes, May
Hey Palmina. How are you and your family. I hope everything is ok. I saw lots of fire in your country and i hope it was not in your area. I wish you and your family all the best dear Palmina and hope to have some positive news from you. Greetings, Jacques from Belgium

I'd like to say thank you to all of you who have commented on this photo. It was taken not lobg before I withdrew from Pano and didn't reply to your very kind comments.
As you may have read above, most of this area was destroyed in the Black Saturday fires on February 7th 2009. The area is still coming back from the fires. An awful lot of the trees on the hills in the background will never recover. They have no canopy left and no growth on their trunks, they are just blackened sticks now. But as is the way of Australia, lot of trees sprouted survival growth soon after the fires all along their truncks so the greenery is coming back. A lot of people moved out of the area and didn't move back. Our beloved Marysville is slowly being rebuilt. Still a lot of families living in carvans (trailers) but they are staying and are rebuilding. Marysville will never be the same as it was but it will still be a very special place.
Thank you all once again, for the kind comments and the concern shown for us.
