for Simona ~~~~~~A Mountain of Gold~~~~~~~

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The infinite beauty of Norway cannot be described here in just a few words. I was fortunate to witness this for myself during a mid-summer fishing expedition, whilst staying on the pretty Island of Skjervoy, above the Arctic Circle.

The photo was taken later than 23-00 hours in that amazing light.

I dedicate this to my friend Simona Ghiocela for whom I shall be eternally grateful for the photos' title.

Sue your enthusiastic comments are exceeded only by your generosity. I sincerely hope that all this late night texting does not leave you feeling utterly exhausted. You have a very full postbag to service. You see, just a few days in your life have passed by, and so much seems to have happened !!! Its a whole new world in here.

Hey Thomas, how nice to find you here once more. I must get over to see you soon. It seems so long since we last met. Iam grateful for your visit and comment and your appraisal is much appreciated, thankyou.

best wishes to you both.

Actually, Jim, it has left me quite 'knackered' today. I will have to ease off a bit, as even enthusiasm doesn't make up for sleep all the while, does it? I need every day 3 times over to do all the things I want to do. I bet you're the same.

I'm looking forward to more browsing when I am recovered... in the meantime, take care, Kind regards, Sue

Greetings Sue, are you still suffering sleep deprivation ? hope you are all ok down-under.

Hello Frank Knaap, What you see also amazed me too. I can only imagine that the rays of the sun were concentrated on this rock face, or perhaps there was a local effect from the warming currents of the Gulf Stream (Mexican Gulf that is)

Greetings Simona, the nice thing about this photo is that I am always reminded of your smiling face, and your beautiful thoughts.

Warm regards to you all.---Jim

Hi Jim, thanks for the little message! I'm getting less sleep than ever, but feeling quite fine on it at present. I've been busy snapping away in Gympie, the streets, and the Jacaranda flowers...they've been spectacular this year..

Must fly, I'm so behind in my replies, I need a secretary! All the best, sue x
