This is some favorite country of mine. So nice to see how it looks this year.

Hi Ralph, it's some of my favorite country too. The geology is so varied and interesting, and the area gets very little visitation, except during hunting season. We had the whole place to ourselves last weekend, and saw lots of wildlife.

We always try to get in an early summer trip before the cows get there. The grazing on Sawmill Creek is far too heavy (the creek is visibly damaged), and car camping at the trailhead just isn't much fun in a stinky trashed meadow filled with bawling cows.

Thanks for visiting, Elemér!
