This memorial is on the grounds of the old Eaker Airforce Base located at Gosnell / Blytheville, Arkansas. Along the bottom of the monument there are pictures of the 9 men that it honors. The plaque reads:

I was stationed at Blytheville AFB from April 1984 to Dec. 1987. I was in food service and if anyone from that time ever reads this I would sure like to hear from you. Even if we never meet that's okay too. My e-mail name is dwaynemadmach71@aol.com. I wish everyone well and hope that the swamp didn't leave you with only bad memories. lol
This memorial sits in front of what used to be the base hospital. If you notice the curved sidewalk to the back left that is where we used to display all of the state flags in a semicircle around the monument.
My father was a B-52 tailgunner stationed at Eaker. He retired in 1985. I remember him living at the alert facility during the cold war. I can also remember going to the hospital here.
