Most old 1800's Indiana "Grist" Mills served their communities in many ways. They grinded corn for the farmer's animals feed, the ground all kinds of grain for human food. One very important produce was Wheat Flour for bakery products. This unit had different size screens on it's rool cage. As the water powered cages turned it "sifted" the rough ground flouer into different grades
