A "volmolen" is a mill used to 'full' wool. Fulling is a finishing processes in which wool is being kneaded and pounded to make the fabric more firm.

This mill was built in 1992 on the foundation of an older water mill which was destroyed during a storm in 1962.

It's main use is generation of electricity.
