These must be well-educated geese. They live on a university campus!
I think, it's the Kindergarten. ;>)))

Bravo Marilyn !!!
BIG Family :-) Nice shot! Greetings EVa
How lovely Marilyn. The proud mother and her 25 little geese.I counted them.ciao,Daniela
Thanks for visiting, pembo, Stéphan, Eva, and Daniela. They were quite a sight! There were, in fact, more adults and lots more children around, but it was hard to get more in one picture without haing it too distant a view.
I loved the way they bunched together and also followed the leader. When the parent decided it was time to leave, off he or she went into the tall reeds, and they followed faithfully!
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful! This is Splendid! What a wonderful capture, Marilyn! You knew I would LOVE this one, didn't you? I'm pretty sure that I love a good animal shot even more than a good old barn shot! :)
This is just delightful. Beautiful story as well.
Very best regards,
What a family! Cheers, Christian
Thank you, Mary Alice, Paul, and Christian.
I've read that the average clutch is 5 eggs, though it may range from 2 to 9. This group seems to have some "day care" system worked out!
This system of "day-care" seems still unknown in France. ;D
Best regards, Christian
They ought to learn from the Canadians. I'm sure it makes life easier for the parents! Best wishes, Marilyn
Canada Goose (Branta canadensis). This appears to be a creche, as the average brood for these geese is only 8 (Eggs max.12).
