Beautiful, a good place for holiday

Paul Myers on June 26, 2008

oh yeah ? you're sure about that ? This has been my school for three years. Yep, good place to go on holiday, lol. I think you couldn't have picked a worse picture of mine to make such a comment. C'est pas grave...

莽夫猫头鹰 on June 28, 2008

Yeah, very beatiful.I do not know French, and I has thought that was a park.Your school is really very beautiful and very quiet. You are the French?

Paul Myers on June 28, 2008

I have three nationalities : french, spanish and english. Yes, this school is located in a beautiful and quiet place, and the building is nice since it was rebuilt. Thaks for your comments.

Paul Myers on June 28, 2008

I meant to say : french, spanish and american. Those were the languages I speak.

莽夫猫头鹰 on June 28, 2008

I'm native speakers of Chinse.English I can speak a little.Three languages,you are a linguistic genius.

Paul Myers on June 29, 2008

OK. Yeah, I was wondering if these letter characters were chinese, corean or japanaese but I knew it was something like that. I have never been to Asia.

莽夫猫头鹰 on July 4, 2008

Chinese,you are right.It means owlwise.

Paul Myers on July 4, 2008

Oh, really ! And what does owlwise mean (sorry for my poor english) ?

莽夫猫头鹰 on July 13, 2008

It means somebody is clever as an owl.Actually,I don't know what it is really mean.Though I studied English for 10 years,I can't completely express my idea.In China we are forced to learn English by the educational system.I heard language learning is all by your interests in France. Is that?

Paul Myers on July 14, 2008

Yes, I catch the idea expressed in those terms "cleaver as an owl" ! No, in France we usually learn English in school as well, and in early school, like since 7 years old there are already English classes. And most of the time, around 16 years old, you have to choose another foreighn language, usually it is Spanish or German.

I did a surgery to correct myopia in summer.I haven't used a computer for a long time. And my eyesight is very good now.Laser correct short-sightedness is very popular in China, but I heard that is not very safe.Is it popular in France? Is there any grammar error in my words? My E-mail address :HXK1988@gmail.com Could you tell me your E-mail address?

Paul Myers on December 19, 2008

Hello 莽夫猫头鹰, nice to hear from you again ! Good to know that your surgery was a success. Unfortunately, I am not terribly informed about that subject. I don't notice any grammar errors in your words. I'm not an english teacher although. My e-mail is paul AT myers DOT org (I write it this way to avoid the spam, you should do the same). Happy holidays !

莽夫猫头鹰 on May 13, 2009

Hello Paul Myers, glad to see you again! Thank you for your advice.I am going to graduate from the college. And I have been prepared for the thesis recenly. I have no summer holiday ,I will take a job after graduation.Your summer holiday is coming, right?

Paul Myers on May 16, 2009

Hello again, Mr. (or Mrs. ?) owlwise. Yes, the summer holiday starts at the end of June. Is college the same as university ? No summer holiday for you, what a pitty ! You sure have a lot of courage to work so much. Good luck !

莽夫猫头鹰 on May 17, 2009

Hi,you can call me Mr.Hu or call me Alex.Sorry,my English is poor.I don't know the difference between college and university.I used to say college.Though there is no summer holiday ,I am a real man now.Thank you for your wishes.By the way,the H1N1 Influenza is very serious now.I know ther is about 14 people infected with the influenza virus. Does French Government pay attention to the influenza?

Paul Myers on May 17, 2009

OK, I will call you Alex. It's that the chinese characters don't show up on my screen. My english is not that good either, and since I don't live in an anglophone country, I don't know very well the equivilants of the educational system. 14 cases of swine (splelling ?) flew is that in China ? I don't know what the french government says, but the media is really focusing on that these days, it is usually the top story on the newscasts. Best wishes again ! And thaks for the visits and comments.

Paul Myers on May 17, 2009

By the way, do you understand any word of french ?

莽夫猫头鹰 on May 18, 2009

Sorry,I don't understand any word of french.14 (now 15)cases of H1N1 flew is in France, not in China. In China, there are 4 cases.I get the information from our government.Best wishes for your health.

Paul Myers on May 20, 2009

15 cases, you are right, I heard it in the news. Thanks for the wishes of good health because I really need them : I was sick these past 2 days of ordinary flew (only and thankfully). Today I'm a little better but I had 40°c of fever on Monday. I wish you a good health also, that is what is important.
