I am 50 years old. When my family and I travelled to Corsicana, Tx. to visit my uncle (1960's-1980's), we always stopped at this cool restaurant.....It became tradition- before we made the turn towards Texas, we would stop and eat..... It was great fun. Loved the escalators!!! Great to see it still standing. It hasn't always been a McDonald's, though. I think it was built as a Howard Johnson's.
jewett1978, thanks for the interesting history ! Stability and continuity - the mainstay of life =)
I've been to the world's largest McDonald's and this isn't it. It's in London.
