CONTEST Panoramio Gracias, Thanks.
Very cool Image. Just wondering if HDR photos are allowed in google earth because of the whole "Not real photos: paintings, logos, digital images, collages..." thing in the "Acceptance policy for Google Earth" -http://www.panoramio.com/help/#GE_2
Hey thanks for the compliment! :)
As for the image being allowed. This image is in whole part taken as is. HDR ( High Dynamic Range ) is taking 3 or sometimes more shots of a subject at different exposures and blending them together. With HDR one can get a chance to see things alittle closer to what the human eye gets to see.
Have you ever taken a shot of a sunset that was awesome? and was disapointed when you get home and printed it? Did it appear over or under exposed?
Sometimes, myself included over saturate an image. Thats just artistic license and it's how one learns. Trial and error.
I have re-read the acceptance policy I believe they are talking about computer generated images like those found on DIGITAL BLASPHMEY
I have found a few of these images on PanOramio that made it passed their filters.
I also believe that for the most part if the image didn't fit within the Acceptance Policy PanOramio would have deleted the image.
At anyrate, Thanks for the comment!
Cool! I'll have to give it a try now. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Lovely place, greetings, petrelpiotr
I visited this very spot about twenty years ago, and just today found your image of it. I camped nearby right on the Deschuttes River for a couple of days--beautiful spot. I have always wanted to return. Thanks for the photo!
