It took three days to walk here and then it rained for 36 hours and I mean rained like nearly an inch per hour seemed like more from inside a tin roofed hut!!!

OK you win !! Sadly a family holiday doesn't allow me to do this, having said that I probably couldn't manage it anyway !! I'll have to rely on guys like you taking great photos for me. Well done again Peter.

Kev What ever, it's superb spot well worth spending 2-3 days walking there, cause there ain't no road. If I'd had a digital camera there would be more of this fantastic place. That is if my camera batteries had kept going for 23 days.

Hi Peter, I found your New Zealand serie... unfortunately, scans are not high technical quality, but I am still thrilled by impressions from this fantastic country.

Rainfalls are ususal in this area, I had a good luck (sunny day!) when made one day trip from Eglinton valley to Milford. But I have lot of rain elsewhere. Probably more moisture then in Scandinavia...

Wandrer This scan doesn't do full justice to this scene, the prints I have are much better. But at least I can give you taste of what it was like to be really alone. When I took this shot there was not another human being within a days walk.
