April 26, 1986 Nuclear explosion at Chernobyl and my Wedding Day!I was married in this Chappell, Ten years later, I was divorced. Drove by a few months back {2-2008}, my Daughter wanted to see where her parents were married. We stopped; this is what we found. Seems appropriate to me. lol

It is just outside of Hesperia, CA. Near the truck stop at HWY 15 and HWY 395. The OUTPOST Wedding Chapel. I am not sure if it is still there. When I took this photo, most of the old site had been torn down!

My parents were married here in 1978. Currently everything that was once there is completely demolished and there's nothing but a dirt lot.
-- the parents are still married.

I too was married here in 1991, we went to see the chapel this year, our 19th Anniversary, we didn't see anything, very sad to see this picture. But wonderful memories of that very special day, still have it captured on a VCR tape :-)

My Deceased Husband and I were married here in 1983. I cannot locate our original marriage certificate that we had showing that it was recorded in San Bernardino County. Went to SB County Clerk's office today...No Record of our marriage! They said that there had been licensing problems with this place and many people there have had problems proving it! Has anyone reading this heard about this? I have no idea what to do next. I cannot get my Social Security Widow's Benefits without the proof of marriage. We were married for 22 years. Please, if anyone reading this can point me in a helpful direction I would appreciate hearing it. Thanks.
