Impressive, Jessica! Was it Canada's National holiday?

Greetings, Sabine

I like the addition of the houses in the foreground it adds a social context to the spectacular fireworks. Thanks for sharing it in the forum topic.

Indeed, because of the houses, the impressive size of the fireworks becomes clear ! Great shot Miss. G. :)

Thanks Sabine, Ian and Andre!

Sabine, yes. July 1 is the celebration of Canada's confederation in 1867. At that time only four provinces were part of the Dominion: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec. Canada really only became a country in 1982, but we still commemorate Confederation from July 1, 1867.

Ian and Andre, because my house is on a hill I can sit on the balcony with my camera and have a very nice view of the fireworks in the park. My cousin thought I should cut off the houses in the front but when I was experimenting with cropping I found I liked them better - so they stayed!
