The Snowy Egret. This small white heron is often confused with it's cousin, the Great Egret. The Snowy Egret has a black bill and yellow feet, while it's larger cousin has a yellow bill and black feet.

He did appear to be posing for me, huh? I thought he was a cutie. He was very small compared to the other Egret I shot this day. I guess he was just a teenager.

Yes, I was very close to this little dude! I approached him slowly over a matter of about 15 minutes. At the end, we were close enough to shake hands. He seemed very social and happy to be included in my beach photo shoot that morning. :)
