Lovely shot, Mary Alice. What colors! It looks as though you had a fine time.

By the way, I spotted this photo which I think you'll like. Can you believe there are no comments yet?

Great colors, Mary Alice! Especially the brilliant red! All except the single diagonal on the bottom that someone forgot to paint...

Marilyn,

Thank you so much! I did have a most amazing time. I'm glad that you enjoyed this shot, and thank you also for directing me to this other most amusing shot. I enjoyed it greatly.

Ryan,

Thank you for your praise! :) I also noticed that one board that was left unpainted. I wonder what happened there? You have a most observant eye! Thanks so much for visiting! :)

Teresa,

I'm very happy that you stopped by this evening, and thank you for showing me your beautiful lifeguard stand as well! It is most unique..... nothing like the ones we have around here. I enjoyed that very much.

Greetings,

Mary Alice

Interesting. When I first looked at this shot, it looked like the chair was a couple of yards in front of a painted wall. Now I do know it is real, it just seemed kind of funny at first glance.

Cheers, Tony

I'm so glad that you came in for a closer look! :)

I'm delighted to hear from you, and hope that things are warming up over there.

The weather has picked up since the weekend. So the freezing rain has stopped and the sleet and show has gone.

The sunny smiles must be working.

Sunny Smiles are always worth something. :) I'm so glad to hear that the bad stuff has simmered, at least for now.

Enjoy the nicer weather while you can!

:) What for? The tourists are drinking beer in the pub in such stormy time :)

Good work!

Janina,

Brilliant observation! Indeed, they are! It seems that the tourists are drinking beer at all times actually! ;)

Thank you so much for your kind visit.

Why "all time actually" ? Is the weather not good enough for fun of "sun-bathing"?

MaryAlice, on July 11, said:

Janina,

I just meant that it doesn't take bad weather to make all the tourist want to sit inside and drink beer! Some people would gladly take beer over the beach any day, but NOT ME! :)

Happy Friday to you,

Mary Alice

A very fun shot, Mary Alice. The playschool colors are so stark against the natural muted palette. I am continually amazed by that pure white sand. And your gallery of vacation photos is heaven. I will be back to visit at greater length, my lls. SOON! Very best to you, alicia

Thank you, Thank you, Alicia!

Somehow I knew you would enjoy this one! The lifeguard stand is SO red! It's almost screaming out loud! =) ...And yes, that sand was amazing! Don't you LOVE white sand? It felt Soooooooooooooo wonderful on my feet and in between my toe toes! I just LOVE walking barefoot on the beach! I couldn't WAIT to get my feet in the sand! =)

Thank you so much for all your kind words.

I'm delighted to see you here!

Very best regards,

Mary Alice

A lovely day for a walk on the sand with no-one around! Great contrasts between bright red and white with the dark clouds. I wouldn't like to sit up there all the time exposed in the sun - I hope they have sunshades, etc. Kasia

MaryAlice, on August 2, said:

Kasia,

Indeed, they DO have sunshades, but everything was taken down because of the approaching storm.

I thought it was a beautiful moment, and I'm so glad that you also enjoyed it. Uncrowded beaches RULE in my book.

I, too, would LOVE to spend the day here again! =)

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Greetings and Happy Weekend to you,

Mary Alice
