This picture was taken at a bus terminal in Lazi. All public transportations around Siquijor Island are privately operated but under an approved franchise and controlled by the local government. They operate on schedule and run only during daylight hours. The buses are relatively comfortable, clean and reliable but could be packed to more than just standing-room-only during peak hours. The love for bright colors could be a reflection of a very strong Spanish influence. No two buses are painted alike.
