Hi John! I live in this house!! My parents bought it in August of 1993. It was empty for a few years before that. If you're ever interested in seeing the house, please feel free to stop by. Over the years, several LaBua Grandkids (and great-grandkids - I went to school with Jimmy who lived on Diana Drive) have stopped by. When we see them, we've invited them in to reminisce. The same offer stands for you, of course. You can email my mom, Deborah, at mothership214@optonline.net (she lives here full-time, I'm in school upstate). If you decide to visit, you can take another picture of the house and we'll be sure to have the hedges properly trimmed! I see a few stray vines in the foreground... oh, well. Just to set your mind at ease that we do, in fact, live here, here's a few details about the house: There was a kitchen in the basement with a huge porcelain sink. The oil tank was on it's side up on metal 'stilts' right up to the rafters of the basement, beneath the master bedroom. The bathroom had mint green tiles. The kitchen cabinets were metal and painted (SCHOOLBUS!) yellow. There's an old tv antenna in the attic. (Still there.) If you need any other details as confirmation, let us know. I can go on for pages! Sincerely, Krista

AMAZING!! I never thought that this photo would ever find it's way to the person that actually LIVES there! If we ever get back out that way I will actually take you up on the offer because I would certainly like to take a look around. I actually lived in the basement for about a month back in December of 1979. Spent MANY Sunday's down there during the big Italian dinners that my grandmother cooked for all the kids/grandkids.
Thanks for writing and I will keep the email address just in case!

Hello John, This is Debbie, Krista's mom. I am so pleased that my daughter found you via the internet. This house has somewhat evolved over the 15+ years we've been here. One of the first things we did upon arrival after closing was remove the short wall between the kitchen and livingroom. By doing this, the space is huge visually. We gutted the kitchen and bath to update, had the beautiful red pine floors redone and added Armstrong white wood-grained planks to the ceilings in the kitchen, livingroom, hall and master bedroom. Over the years, we have changed most of the windows, replaced the old furnace and the oil tank was removed and a new one placed outside the south side of the house to feed in to the furnace and hot water heater. We actually have a finished basement with livingroom, an area for our pool table, a second bath and fourth bedroom (as my mother-in-law lived with us for a while). The upstairs livingroom is now a formal dining room. This works well for us. Did I happen to mention we put in a spiral staircase to access the lower level without having to go outside and around back? I have gone on a bit, haven't I? It's only because we are very proud of this little house and have spent many happy years here. We look forward to meeting you and additional members of your family.
