Hi Jorg, if you enjoy camping or staying in a static caravan, Howgill Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. It's surrounded by stunning countryside and is owned by some friends of ours:) I'm sure you will be made welcome but booking early is essential. Regards, Anita

A picture postcard! Beautiful! Does this camp site have a web site Anita? My sister and I would enjoy staying in a static caravan for a few days. And do they accept dogs?
Paula

Yes Paula, it's on the web, you should find it easily and I think that they allow dogs but I'm not sure. It's only a small site and very popular so I hope you are lucky enough to stay, I'm sure you will love it :) Anita

You probably think that I am overdoing it Anita (-j¬), me gushing with all this praise, but quite honestly, these 'Dales' shots are absolutly right. No where on gods earth are there any places to equal this. The old Yorkshire sandstones capped with those massive stone tiles so redolent of the Dales cottages and farm houses. The Georgean windows, so elegant, so stylish. The epitomy of local architecture. How well did those craftsmen know their trade.
I know how much you love this region Anita. and it shows here in your work
I shall go before I embarrass you further.
Jim.

Jim, what can I say but thank you so much for your eloquent words, I am indeed flattered. I only wish that I could express myself with words as well as you do but hey! nobody is perfect. The only way to convey my thoughts are in the photo's I take. The centuries of farmers, craftsmen and locals have shaped this landscape to the delight of many a visitor and of course myself:) kind Regards, Anita
