The Swiss are a little authoritarian at times....

I mean why can't you try to climb back down the mountain in high heels?

What about pogo sticks? Are skate boards allowed?

Well, Lloyd, after rescueing several frivolous ladies from the trail obviously the alpine rescue team decided to portend with this helpful hint not to wear too mountain-unsuitable footwear outside of the safe station.
In the near past the visit of some nature-remote people with the mountain-railway obviously requires this method.  ;-)

Awesome rule!

Well, when you are standing there at the edge you can understand it. You cannot understand how you can get to this point in high heels ;-)

Mary Photropics on February 21, 2014

Indeed it looks dangerous. No country wants to pay a foolish who went trekking on high heels :) Same law exists for Carmel-by-the-Sea did you know?

©polytropos on February 21, 2014

Oh yes, I heard of. But I didn't know that it is such restrictive!
Thanks for your interesting link!
