Salib (cross) Kasih (love) in Tarutung is a cross with a height of around 12-18mtrs on the top of a hill. The cross was built as a symbol that christianity was brought to tapanuli and introduced to the Bataknese (tapanuli native people) first time in 1863 by a german priest, I.L Nomensen. About 1hour drive from Balige.
