curlyjim 'hail and well' met mate. A fellow Oldhamer/ Greenfield bloke, well - well, don't see too many local guys here. Anyway, I am honoured that you like both my 'Chew Valley Paradise' and this. They are of course, similar. This one taken from an old slide of mine near Holts about 30 years ago. If my memory serves me right, I took it just before going to work, so must have been about 8.30am, in Autumn. This you can see by the leaves just turning golden. Like you, this is a real favourite of mine. I took this at the same time. I recently re-visited these trees and it is just a jungle now. Coincidently, I have some newer pics of Dovestones taken last winter just a few pages back from my latest.
